Every piece of clothing tells a story. Ours is written slowly, never in a hurry.
IT STARTS WITH THE FIBRE
Where clothing really begins
Most clothing begins as a raw fibre, long before it becomes fabric. At EverNest, we choose fibres that are breathable, gentle and suited to a baby’s sensitive skin.
We work with cotton for its natural comfort and lyocell for its smooth feel and ability to manage moisture. Together, they create a fabric that stays calm against the skin through long hours of wear.
We hate polyester! Only our sewing threads are currently made of polyester, we are working hard towards finding a healthier alternative.
FABRIC, BEFORE COLOUR
Keeping the base clean and breathable
Before colour is added, fabric is cleaned and prepared. This stage often involves strong detergents and chemical shortcuts in conventional manufacturing.
We look for gentler methods wherever possible, focusing on cleanliness without stripping the fabric of its natural softness or breathability. That is why we turn to a soap nut solution to lift away wax and impurities from the fabric.
The goal is simple: prepare the fabric without overwhelming it.
COLOUR FROM NATURE, NOT URGENCY
Letting time do the work
Colour is where many garments take a chemical-heavy turn. We chose a different path.
Our colours come from flowers and tree bark. They are shaped by seasons, climate and time. A colour could take upto 14 days to transform from raw source into dye.
Some garments are left undyed entirely, allowing the fabric to stay as close to its natural state as possible.
Nature decides the palette. We don’t rush it.
GENTLE CLEANSING AND BALANCE
After colour comes care
Once dyed, fabric needs to be cleansed and stabilised. Instead of harsh detergents, we use river soil clay to clean the fabric and lemon juice to help neutralise it.
There are steps where natural alternatives are not yet available. In those moments, we use minimal quantities of carefully chosen inputs and remain transparent about them.
As natural as possible. Always considered.
THOUGHTFUL CONSTRUCTION
How a garment comes together
Design and construction matter just as much as material.
Our clothing is made to move with babies, not restrict them. Seams, fills, and finishes are chosen for comfort and longevity, not speed. Our Sleep Sacks are filled with 100 percent cotton to stay breathable and gentle.
Every decision is guided by wear, touch and daily use.
READY FOR THE WORLD THEY’LL GROW INTO
Beyond the baby stage
Clothing doesn’t exist in isolation. The way it’s made affects water, soil and ecosystems long before it reaches a wardrobe.
By choosing plant-based colours, slower methods and minimal processing, we aim to reduce water impact and leave a softer footprint on the planet.
Because the world our children inherit matters just as much as what they wear today.
and we don’t do this alone
