How this piece is made

A clear look at the materials and processes behind every Evernest garment, so you know exactly what touches your baby’s skin.

FABRIC ORIGIN

Made from a 50% cotton, 50% lyocell blend, knitted in a soft interlock for natural breathability and gentle stretch. The fabric is compacted to improve stability and reduce shrinkage.

COLOUR ORIGIN

Our products are either undyed or coloured only using plant based dyes. Each dye is hand crafted and can take up to 14 days to make a dye from its natural form. We will never use synthetic dyes in any of our products.

PROCESSING

We use natural alternatives like betal leaves, banana stem, honey, lemon juice, river soil and plant waste replacing most chemicals. We still use 5 low dose chemicals (hydrogen peroxide, soda ash, peroxide neutralizer, acetic acid, softener). We are working hard to reduce them further.

FINISHING

We panel wash and tumble dry to reveal a softer, more reliable fabric. Each item is stitched, pressed and packed by skilled hands, with a final attentive check before it leaves the studio.

A smoother hand feel from lyocell, the familiarity of cotton and no harmful chemical residues touching delicate skin.
